It’s time for a catch up
It’s time for a general catch up!
Hi, how have you been? I hope you are keeping safe and well.
I’ve been pretty quiet on social media over the past couple of months, but oh my goodness, it’s been anything but quiet here. In the background there has been so much going on.
I’ve been business planning for the next 12 months, taken a marketing course, have set my goals for the year and have got a detailed plan taking me up to Christmas. I’m so excited for this new chapter of my journey.
The BIG news in my personal life is that we are moving house 🤞 I have my fingers crossed because it’s been a very bumpy ride so far and we are not at the point where the sale and purchase are legally binding … although I have bought a few packing boxes and bubble wrap to start the packing 😂 We are hoping to get a moving date sometime in July 🤞 Watch this space.

I’ve got 3 new EPP patterns in various stages of readiness to give you a quick peak of. Two are at the first ‘let’s see if this works’ stage and one is much further down the line where I’ve started tweaking, experimenting and making samples. You’ll start to see more of these popping up on my Instagram as time goes by. I’m loving my new daily ‘creativity’ time, my constant messy work table is proof of this.
I’ve also been making some progress with my Tales of Cloth Sunshiny Day quilt. My initial idea was to limit the quilt to a handful of ‘colour stories’ with the same neutral low volume background across the whole quilt.
My first colour story was the pale blue and coral, which I love. The next one I love too – the mid blue and mustard – but place it next to the first few blocks and I feel the overall contrast will be too stark for the quilt.
So I tried a couple of softer colour options, but these just don’t work for me. The last one is the aqua and pink, which I think works so much better with the original but I’m undecided. What do you think?
Until next time
Best wishes
Sarah x
