Closing the door on 2020 – A Letter from Me to You❤️
2020 Wow, what a curve ball you have thrown us!
I think it’s safe to say that 2020 has been a most surreal and extremely difficult year that nobody could ever have imagined.
I for one welcome 2021 with open arms and the possibilities it brings, the newly approved vaccines give me hope that life can begin again sometime in the future. Anyone else feel that life has pressed the pause button and we are hanging in limbo until play is pressed again?
I came across this quote earlier this week and thought it very appropriate for now,
Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’...”
Alfred Lord Tennyson
Duck Egg Threads has gone from strength to strength in 2020. I am so grateful for all the support my wonderful customers have shown my small business this year, I’ve been blown away. Thank you 🙏
For me, the time between Christmas and New Year is always a time for reflection and business planning for the future. I really enjoy looking back at what has worked well (and not so well) and planning the next years strategy.
This year, taking into account not just the business aspect but Covid and my personal life too, this time of planning and reflection has opened my eyes to how manic and stressful life really has been in 2020. Living life constantly spinning numerous plates in the air is not conducive to a happy healthy life. It has taken it’s toll and become apparent that changes need to be made to the Duck Egg Threads business model in 2021 for mine and my family’s well-being.
There are still a few kinks to be ironed out before I can make an announcement, the details are still being finalised but I’ll make an announcement next early week – my apologies for being vague and last minute but I feel it is better to have details finalised before sharing.
I can tell you that there will be HUGE Sale starting Monday 4th January that you won’t want to miss out on, pop the date in your calendar and look out for further notifications on email and Instagram.
On a personal note, 2020 was always going to be a year of healing and recovery. A year on from surgery I am well, striving to live my best life and I now realise how important personal fulfilment is.
2021 is going to be my year of fitness, health and having no regrets.
Wishing you health and happiness for 2021
